Jaguar Ends Combustion Engine Production with Final F-Pace

11

The last Jaguar F-Pace has completed production at JLR’s Solihull plant, signifying the definitive end of the brand’s internal combustion engine (ICE) era. While UK sales ceased in November, this final vehicle concludes production for all global markets, including the United States, Australia, China, and Europe.

This milestone represents a full stop for Jaguar’s traditional models. For the first time in its history, Jaguar has no gasoline or diesel vehicles in production worldwide. The transition is deliberate: the brand is shifting entirely to electric vehicles.

The F-Pace exits as one of Jaguar’s most successful models, with over 300,000 units sold since its 2016 launch. However, its legacy is now firmly in the past.

Jaguar’s future rests entirely on electric vehicles. The company has confirmed its first all-electric model, based on the Type 00 concept, will debut in mid-2024.

This move is part of a broader industry trend toward electrification, driven by environmental concerns and tightening emissions regulations. Jaguar’s decision is bold, effectively betting the entire brand on a complete overhaul. The success of its electric lineup will determine whether this shift pays off.

The F-Pace’s departure marks not just the end of a model, but the closing of a chapter in automotive history for a once-iconic British brand.
