The Geely Galaxy Starshine 7, a new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sedan, has been officially unveiled in China. This vehicle boasts a 4-wheel drive (4WD) powertrain, rapid acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, and an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) called G-Pilot H3. The Starshine 7 has completed rigorous testing, including trials in extreme cold weather conditions, and is now ready for market release.
Development Timeline and Testing
The vehicle was first registered with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in October 2025, revealing key technical specifications. Subsequent cold-weather performance tests were carried out in the Arctic Circle in February 2026. Official images and full details were released on March 17, confirming the Starshine 7’s readiness for production.
Performance and Efficiency
Geely confirms that the Starshine 7 is an e-AWD plug-in hybrid designed for both performance and fuel efficiency. The car accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds while achieving a fuel consumption rate of approximately 2 liters per 100 km. The chassis incorporates a continuous damping system with a five-link rear suspension for enhanced ride quality and stability.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the Starshine 7 features a large, landscape-oriented floating touchscreen paired with a digital instrument cluster. The center console includes a distinctive, orb-like digital interface reminiscent of Nio’s Nomi system. Additional tech highlights include a steering wheel-mounted gear shifter, wireless phone charging, and a dedicated set of physical buttons for quick access to key functions.
Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)
The Starshine 7 is equipped with Geely’s G-Pilot H3 ADAS system, which uses 11 cameras and 3 millimeter-wave radars. This enables the vehicle to perform Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) on both urban and highway roads, as well as provide automatic parking assistance. The advanced sensors and software aim to improve safety and convenience for drivers.
Dimensions and Powertrain Specifications
The exterior design of the Starshine 7 shares similarities with the existing Starshine 6 model. It features a prominent chrome radiator grille, LED headlights, and a full-width taillight. The vehicle measures 4958 mm long, 1915 mm wide, and 1505 mm high, with a 2852 mm wheelbase – making it 38 mm longer than a Toyota Camry.
The Starshine 7 uses a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated BHE15-BFN engine producing 82 kW (110 hp). Electric motor specifications remain undisclosed, but the sedan offers two lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery options: 18.99 kWh and 28.3 kWh. These provide a pure electric range of 115 to 165 km under CLTC testing conditions.
The Geely Galaxy Starshine 7 represents a significant step forward in plug-in hybrid technology, combining performance, efficiency, and advanced safety features. The model is positioned to compete in a growing market segment focused on electrified vehicles with enhanced driving capabilities.
