Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a significant mid-life facelift for its flagship electric limousine, the EQS. By integrating advanced battery technology and high-speed charging capabilities, the automaker aims to reclaim its dominance in the luxury EV sector, directly challenging rivals like the BMW i7.

The most headline-grabbing update is the massive leap in driving range. Through a combination of improved battery chemistry and more efficient cell shapes, the new EQS can travel up to 574 miles on a single charge.

While this puts the EQS in direct competition with the high-performing Lucid Air, it marks a crucial strategic move for Mercedes.
